Strategy Bridge consultants and instructors hold certifications from, maintain membership in, or are recognized by multiple organizations, including: INCOSE, PMI, IPMA, ASQ and Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners.
Mark has served as the CEO of Strategy Bridge since he co-founded the company with Don Hernley in 2004. He is certified as an Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP - INCOSE), Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (American Society for Quality), and he has served on the boards of examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and the President’s Quality Award. He served more than 25 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Captain (O-6). A master facilitator and recognized expert in collaborative decision-making techniques, he has worked with Aerospace, Defense, Telecommunications, and Federal Government organizations, helping teams define strategies, plan major programs, allocate resources, and select preferred concepts and solutions in engineering trade studies. He has also taught hundreds of hours of classroom instruction in Systems Engineering, Systems Thinking, Project Management, Quality Management, Leadership, and Decision-Making. Mark earned a Master of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy.
As Strategy Bridge’s co-founder and COO, Don’s background as a senior executive and consultant in information systems, financial management, and project management has provided him with significant knowledge and experience in running highly efficient organizations. Don strongly believes in creating value for Strategy Bridge’s clients and thus maintains an operating environment that is free of unnecessary corporate bureaucracy and overhead costs. Prior to founding Strategy Bridge with CEO Mark Wilson, Don developed deep knowledge and expertise through a career in the private sector serving as a senior consultant and executive in highly respected firms, including Baxter International and Ernst & Young.
